BERLIN OR THE EUROPEAN GREEN CAPITAL!

After Second World War and Cold War, Berlin was rebuilt from top to bottom with ecology and biodiversity in mind.

40% of its 890 per square kilometer of land is covered with huge woods, lakes... In those green spaces, we often forget that we are in a metropolis of nearly 3.4 million inhabitants.

First Potsdamer Platz. This former no man's land between East and West, has been completely rebuilt taking into account the constraints of sustainable development: zero air conditioning, green roofs and shared water management to recover rainwater have reduced carbon dioxide emissions by 70%...

Other example: the park of Tempelhof (386 hectares). It's bigger than Central Park in New York. Located in the heart of the city, it’ was one of Berlin's airports and it’s now redevelop in a huge green expanse. To the great delight of the Berliners and tourists…
