Inaugurated on August 26, the Parc Frédéric-Back in Montréal is intended to be entirely ecological and should reach an area of 153 hectares.
17 hectares of green and clean land!
The city of Montreal inaugurated last month its last nugget: a 17 hectares park, entirely ecological.
Located in the Saint-Michel Environmental Complex, which includes a sorting center and composting sites, this park is designed to be entirely ecological, after receiving over 40 million tones of waste.
Over the next few years, the site of Parc Frédéric-Back will gradually expand to an area of 153 hectares by 2025, half of Central Park.
